Cold Eye Poem by shakil ahmed

Cold Eye

Cold Eye

Your eyes are full of tender care
Soft air blows your silken hair
On seeing your beauty, men live and die
Like a deaf you don’t hear their agonized cry
You are cruel and cast a cold eye
Without gesture you slowly pass by
Men say, you are God’s profane perfection
But your callous heart doesn’t possess affection
Lovers try to peep into recess of your heart
And to cast an image on this cooling covert.
Some promised to find out where you have gone
But their promises remain undone
Being a broken man, I cordially invite you
One smile is enough to fill my life with hue.
