Cold Air Poem by Masha Danevasha

Cold Air

Rating: 5.0

Cold chill fills the air
And seeps into your life
To remind you again
That you’re somebody’s wife
Then you'll rush, trim that tree
And bake holiday cakes
As atonement for your
Warm weather mistakes
For detached frosty air
Is no longer fit to roam
You seek peace and assurance
In a warm constant home
In the arms that will hold you
As theirs while they can
Till the drunken call of spring
Sets you roaming again

An interesting piece, succint and distinct point of view, with a bit of mystique thrown into the mix... Nice! Esther : ]
