Chain Reaction Poem by Thistle Wargul

Chain Reaction

Rating: 2.3

She steals my friends with stormy lies,
Drags them away when I need them most.
Makes up rumours that spread like fire,
Treats me like a filthy rat!

If she won’t stop she’ll be consumed.
Her day will be numbered, as dark as night.
She’ll be rejected by those she deceived,
Alone and abandoned.
A look through her eyes, and they’ll soon realise,
This is the one that told the lies!

One domino falls and drags down the rest,
In an endless wave of scattering colours.
Pin the tail on the donkey
While it runs away from its chaser.

Hate ferments in her withered heart,
Maybe it comes from some other place.
Left unguided to wander the streets,
Who would notice any of this?

If she won’t stop she’ll be consumed.
Her day will be numbered, as dark as night.
She’ll be rejected by those she deceived,
Alone and abandoned.
A look through her eyes, and they’ll soon realise,
This is the one that told the lies!

She steals my friends with stormy lies,
Drags them away when I need them most.
Makes up rumours that spread like fire,
Treats me like a filthy rat!
