Caroline Poem by Michael Koelliker

Caroline

Like a butterfly in Airy skies,
She floats through my mind.
Her image’s Light in my eyes.

Our hearts on the air of a Bise,
Together we live in Life’s bind.
Her Heart’s like the ports of Marseilles.

We use the darkness as our guise,
Our minds are one, entwined.
Her radiant smile is my prize.

This woman shall be my demise,
In sweet Caroline, we are intertwined.
Her eyes like the blue skies.

“When I looked into her eyes,
I cared enough to wonder why
She'd want a cloud that's floating around.

And feel the fury of these tears.
I can feel her so far away,
But I feel it's time to say goodbye to fear.”
