Butterflies Poem by Angelica Saunderson

Butterflies

I'm barely breathing becasue of you,
Blissfully believing this feeling's true.
Your touch sends static through my heart,
Emerald eyes promise we'll never part.

Love sends me soaring into space,
When I gaze upon your glowing face.
There's nothing here I can compare,
To this feeling that we share.

I'm like a child hiding in your arms,
Your love protecting me from harm.
You kiss me once and say, 'Don't fret',
With you there's nothing to regret.

Lyrics of love dance around my ears,
As you fight away the swelling tears.
All my problems and my fear,
Just melt away when you are near.

Come now float away with me,
Tell me that true love can be.
Hold on to me and never let go,
Tell me that you love me so.
