Burning Bridges Poem by Steven Elsner

Burning Bridges

Rating: 5.0

One who hungers for distress
Shall meet an untimely unrest
For it is they who will be set by the wayside
With no friends and nowhere to hide

One who lusts for power
Shall not blossom like a flower
But instead lose meaning
They will find love fleeting

One who becomes delusional
Shall have the escapism of a musical
For they shall see life as they see fit
But they really can't grasp it
