Broken Morning Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Broken Morning

Rating: 5.0

Beauty of another morning, broken only by inner grief,
not wanting to talk, feeling an intense silence filling
my being with it's deepened emptiness.

Flowing tears taking me through sorrow's gardens, watering
our memories of love with them, hoping that our love will
continue to live within both of us.

Not knowing if it's so or not, heart falling deeply within
my being, trying to hide from this lonesome sorrow and
abandonment.

It doesn't help, I'm still missing you, unable to smile
or get out of bed, wanting to stay here, hoping you will
come and lie down with me again.

Yet knowing that it will never happen, losing you, losing
hope interiorly, finding nothing to grasp or hold onto,
this emptiness cannot be controlled or gotten rid of so
I die inside without you forever.

The melancholy has touched my heart. It runs very, very deep. Few can express their sadness so eloquently. You are indeed on top of those. Cheer up, my friend! Another morning will definitely come. 10/10.

True love is undying. Likewise these illustrious verses are eternal and chaste; but agonizing when the loved one is no more. Every word has adoration, devotion expanded with a yearning of being alone without the loved one. Beautiful flow of lyrics, painful to read; as it strokes one with an heart ache
