her dream the mind keeps
the candle's action; melt
his love, she felt

he lies awake close by
thinking of his dear, he hears a cry
holding her close, admiring her face
all worries being erased

whispering sweet nothings in her ear
wondering if she'll hear
she's far, far away in a distant land
here, he holds her hand

quietly she begins to wake
