Beside You Poem by jayne jenkins

Beside You

You know I've not gone, you can see me,
If you'ld only close your eyes,
You know I've not gone, you can hear me,
So don't listen to their lies
When they tell you that I've left you,
Gone to a better place.
You know I've not gone, you can feel me
As I breath upon your face.

'Death' is a word that's final,
It's a word you mustn't say,
I'm not dead, I'm here beside you
I'll stay with you everyday.
So if they try to comfort you
They just don't understand,
That wherever you go, or whatever you do
I'm right next to you, holding your hand.

This is so beautiful, I felt it was written from death itself. Touching... Peace, Aisha
