Bell Bottom Blues Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

Bell Bottom Blues

Life seemed so simple then
Like sweet sarsaparilla
Cotton candy snacks
Coolest ice cream soda.

Flower power Op Art
Twiggy looks and net
Such great music did their part
The best that you can get!

Not all fun was electronic
Now guitars and songs are vague
Singers can just lip synch
Live performances, a plague.

Time was when they can't wow a crowd
With merely fireworks and attire
You either sing good or get booed loud
You either rock or light the fire.
