Beginnings Poem by Martin A. Ramos

Beginnings

i am the fetus within she
throbbing membranous love
begotten by aspiring they
the slow descent into alive

from ether smells and bloody birth
through cradles of begin
i am all tiny hell and heart
wet diaper stage of noisy am

a crying, wriggling useless it
inordinantly small
not knowing heres from theres of at
until i go through pangs of tall

now from this whirling doom
which glides through downs in up
infinity will stir, and always groan:
how all beginnings start from stop
