Be Mine Poem by yellowbell alamanda

Be Mine

Rating: 5.0

I was standing by
in the middle of bright sky
You were there
across the cracked asphalt
I guess, your eyes was for me
as I smelled your scent
when the wind blew
that past through me.
I was trying to throw a stare
through the disrupted day light,
I thought my eyes were blind
but I can read your lips
chattering to be my lover
in the middle of that day of summer.
Come over, I said, as I stretched my arms.
Take a steps, don't be ashamed
I will let you in,
Wrap me in your arms
I know I'll be safe
from that burning sun.
shade me by your shadow,
stand by me,
be mine.
