I hate the way you make me cry
Tying knots around me
Forever binding me to this
Feeling of hollowness

Searching in empty boxes
Broken facades that glimmer
With fierce brightness
Blinded to the carcass of regrets

We converse best
Through sex
And texts
And when I am not with you

Time excels and I pretend to be
More than nothing
Hovering above normalcy
Signed away and committed to damnation

I have no hope for you;
We that flow
Like cheese and wine,
Or rather

I felt like I was losing you
And so in a last effort attempt
I dug my claws into your back
And injected you into me

Numb
Envelopes my fingers and steadily moves into tingling
Sensations
And there it is again my chest beats with fear of not knowing what to expect

By building invisible barriers
Around my soul
I kept you at bay for so long
Love

The one liners that flew
from your sharp tongue
and got stuck like Wrigley's spearmint gum
onto the bottom of my shoe
