Bad Habit Poem by latoya fleming

Bad Habit

Rating: 3.8

Time and time again,
I pray you change,
I say myself,
“This time he got it, ”
I thought,
With every tear,
You saw me shed,
You would grow to love me,
To be my first love,
You leave with bad memories,
Miscarriage,
Lies,
And last but not least,
Deceit
Maybe,
It’s being young,
Being Naïve,
Or simply,
Just afraid,
Knowing I can do better,
I still hold on to you,
You’re like a drug,
At times the high is so pure,
But the effects will leave you dead…
Inside.
