Astronaut Poem by shami giles

Astronaut

Let his breathe be the ocean
So vast and beautiful
Let the air that he breathes
be the air on my earth
Perfection knows no limit when it comes to him
The astronaut in my skies
Let the world be jealous when he opens his mouth to reveal his words
Words that fill me spiritually and brilliantly
Like an open canvas he watches me
He’s the stars in my sky
The tree’s that brittle, whither, and die
The dark from the light
The one who saves me when I cry
The gentle breeze at the dawn of night
And warms my skin with milky ways’ delight
As his lips part to elicit a smile
That fills my skies with light and allows a new start
It is my astronaut who has my heart
Who gives me wings to fly
Reveals to me life
Fills my heavens with light
The sun that turns my nights to days and days to nights
My moon that guides me in every path that is right
He is the astronaut of my skies
The creator of light
With eyes that fills my soul with warm delight
My astronaut
