Amateur Poem by Seema Aarella

I do not manipulate words
As you may suppose,
I just copy them
As they appear on my blank mind,
Like an ardent pupil
Noting a passage from the black board.

I do not play with words
I lack the competence of a maestro
I am just an overjoyed child
Playing on the beach,
Trying to make an odd pattern
With a handful of seashells

I do not interweave my words
With brilliance of a famed poet
I am just learning to darn
The off centred emotions
Into a legible new fabric
Only to dress my artlessness.

Well done Seema... It is always better to let words come to you rather to play with words... Beautiful... It is my true mind, And untainted heart talking; NOT a POET… I never do Poetry, I just put my heart on paper… ~ Kamran
