All For Love? Poem by vaiah jones

All For Love?

Rating: 5.0

You gnawed upon my soul,
Like a vulture feeds upon a carcass.
You ripped apart my heart,
And danced upon my blood.

When you tore open my lungs,
You saw it was still throbbing,
You smiled and dug your claws into it.

Had I a voice to speak,
I would have just asked you:
What was my fault?
Only that I had loved you?
