A Long Time Ago Poem by Kristina Jordan

A Long Time Ago

A long time ago I was in love
But then came fears
I thought I could rise above
Instead I found myself in tears

A long time ago I thought it was a fairy tale
He told me I would not have a fear
He told me I would wear a vail
And that he would always hold me near

He had blond hair
Blue eyes
And skin so fair
Now I hope he dies

For all the pain he causes me
Because all he does is take
He is like a bad dream
And I will never awake
I hope I can redeem
The life he took from me

I hope one day he will see
How he is destroying me
I find myself in tears
When I think of how I once loved him
And how now I live in fear
Why did he turn so dim?

A long time ago I was in love
Now I can only hope for tommorow
He told me of
The love he had for me
But now I live in sorrow
Why can't he see

He causes me such pain
I can only hope it is not in vain
That he will pay
And I will be there to see the day

Tears
Sorrow
Fears
And no hope for tommorow

Some times I think of him late at night
When his hands would be upon my hips
He would hold me so tight
Icould taste his lips
And feel his might

He thought he was never wrong
But that he was always right
And the pain would last so long
It was no use for me to put up a fight

My dream
One day to see him suffer
Now he will think
He is no longer the tougher
And he will have one last drink
To numb the pain
My suffering was not in vain
