Lost In The Blues

Along the path of daily dull
Came the face of a new stranger
Did I foresee me take the fall
Across that long & cold November?

It sure was not the easy puzzle
Reveal was done piece after piece
I did contain my crave to guzzle
But mystery refused to cease

Then one night amid the crowd
With music, noise & drunken talk
Your lit up face just standing out
My basic instincts getting struck

A tame amuse that was short-lived
Few words exchanged at pace of dance
But justifying my disbelief
The myth dissolved within a glance

Where did she go? I truly wondered
I had no choice but heading out
For hope was painfully outnumbered
Taking a loss on that first bout

The riddle slowly gets unveiled
Smoothly work towards reveals
I try to bring her better days
And sing a song that sorrow heals

Unusual night we spent together
I turned support to tipsy ankle
A knight in armor for the better
Across dark woods along my damsel

Now alone we found each other
Behold, here comes the operator
But your resolve could take no bother
Behold, here comes the moderator

Those tiny lips were so inviting
Those eyes that got lost in the ocean
Taken aback with such a sighting
Your words crackdown on my emotion

It's incorrect; it's unacceptable
All of the known dogmas of proper
For me the only non-respectable
To ignore a crafty clock-stopper

Now I know more and can't avoid
To try to make the best of it
Her endless tease capably employed
Renders me anxious bit by bit

If none of this will be long-lasting
It is today that holds my thoughts
These highs of memory forecasting
Pushing my need to build on us

I have been there in your bed
But in the non-material fashion
Dare not just take me in your head
No more outsourcing of passion

Skin burns upon our touch
Blood is rushing and lips shine
