Sierra Kavanagh Poems

Through the eyes of your tormentor
You were saved
The world was shattered
But you held onto false hope
...

Through the porcelain eyes of a child
You watch in mock horror
A face frozen in fear with no meaning
A false terror
...

I didn't need forever
I just needed one night
I wanted you beside me
But only for that moment
...

If it was a lie you want
You've come to the wrong person
I won't offer you false hope
I'd just as soon leave you broke
...

Imprison me
For I feel no fear
Imprison me
I won't shed a single tear
...

A beautiful angel
A twisted motive
Your deadly and dangerous
Beautifully twisted
...

Do you remember those times you used to hold me?
When you told me it was alright?
Do you remember all those times you traveled hours to see me?
When I waited up for you every time
...

If the sun sets tonight. I still love you
If I have to watch you from behind the glass
I'll do it without a second backwards glance
To watch you through the clear blind eyes
...

It's not a question of if I could love you
Its one of if you would let me love you
For one such as you to think you're a beast
For one such as you who wants no part in emotion

A Monster, A Demon

Through the eyes of your tormentor
You were saved
The world was shattered
But you held onto false hope
Was it better this way?
Was it you who should have been left in the grave?

You say you have a soul
How do you explain being so cold
Its not possible for one without a heart
Does it make you wonder why it still beats
Your eyes hold a world of their own
Is it really so hard to accept what you've become?

What you always were was always the question
How could someone, something like you be saved?
Can you admit you're a monster
To whom are you their world?
What world could house one without a soul without a problem?
A hollow shell is not meant to wander

You've become a demon, just as by the hand you were saved
Still do you find it hard to silence your hatred?
What or who do you hate?
Yourself has always been your answer
Does that remain true?
To whom does your soul belong?

No one, you have no soul to give away
A broken doll is what you are
Seething with hatred, How long can you hold on?
Is there any hope for a demon like you?
Can this question ever be answered?

The harsh truth is it won't be
Who could answer you?
You are aware your bones will one day turn to ash
Can a demon like you disappear?
You say you were once loved
With a past like yours, who would believe you now?
