shreya koppaka Poems

Early in the morning when the birds sings,
Light to this world the sun brings,
When the dew drops like pearls shine,
I remember you in this heart of mine.
...

Now that I am eighteen, a mature person,
I realize how lucky I am to be a woman,
Because she is smart and an intellectual,
And she deserves to be treated as an individual,
...

I look for my Mr. Right,
Immense pleasure to me gives this task,
But in my entire search,
A question to myself I ask…..
...

The place was buzzing, the scene was set,
People were pouring in, everything was perfect,
The decorations were delightful, the food looked appetising,
The groom was handsome, and the bride was blushing,
...

I look back at the distant past,
With a lump in my throat and a hole in my heart,
Those sweet memories of joy and pleasure,
Those days forever I must treasure.
...

There is darkness all around,
It’s only silence no sound,
In the black it looks like,
There won’t be day but only night,
...

I felt all alone,
No friend to my mind is known,
I had no company,
I was deserted and left as just me,
...

I decided my life was worth dying,
Because most of it I ha spent crying,
I was nothing but an insignificant spick of dust,
Who was occupying valuable space on earth,
...

After long in my heart a wish has commence,
Oh god can you give me just this once

Those afternoons in the summer holidays,
...

I never had many friends,
I was happy with a few,
Comfortable I was in known company,
So never spoke to people new.
...

At dusk time time, the sun set,
When the sky covers a blanket of red,
The sun melts into the ocean,
Giving way to the moon on the cloudy cusion,
...

The day we met each other,
I never thought our relation would grow further,
Because though we walked on the same path,
We were never walking together.
...

The day I saw you,
I was in love I knew,
That wavy hair those lovely smiles,
I could feel your touch from 500 miles,
...

Once to a garden, very large,
A gardener was made in charge,
Roses, he thought he would plant there,
Of varieties rich and rare,
...

I am nothing but an insignificant spec of dust,
Occupying useful space on the earth’s crust,
My voice is no longer heard by anyone,
My name no longer people mention,
...

You are....
The twinkle of my eye,
The scent for my nose,
The smile of my mouth,
...

Sitting in a quiet room,
seriously reading my book,
Realized my phone wasn’t around,
In silent it must be ringing off the hook,

I Remember You

Early in the morning when the birds sings,
Light to this world the sun brings,
When the dew drops like pearls shine,
I remember you in this heart of mine.

When the sky is covered with blanket of clouds,
The lightning strikes and the thunder goes loud,
When the whole world drenches in rain time,
I remember you in this heart of mine.

When flowers bloom in spring season,
And smiles break out for no reason,
For romance when the weather is fine,
I remember you in this heart of mine.

In winter when the snow is all around,
And fog comes out of mouths instead of sound,
Looking at the cones of bare pine,
I remember you in this heart of mine.

When the ground is full of dried leaves in fall,
Of different colours from trees so tall,
Watching those ants busy working in a line,
I remember you in this heart of mine.

The time when love is in the air,
And roses and chocolates are everywhere,
The day of love, the day of valentine,
I remember you in this heart of mine.

In the cozy full moon night,
When cool breeze sends up chill of delight,
Tapping on the bench by my side,
I remember you in this heart of mine.

With bare feet I walk on the grass wet,
And relive the day we first met,
While listening to music with note divine,
I remember you in this heart of mine…
