Shivani Jain Poems

Oh what a relief!
Although a disguised thief
They follow it like a tradition
...

I am a pearl in the shell
On the beach
Just floated out of water
Or thrown out of it
...

Lying in my bed
Thinking of you
Closed my eyes and saw you
Right there
...

Withered seems the rose
Like the lives of many
For it's forsaken its root
Gone is its water
...

Religion

Religion is a set of beliefs based on hearsay
Oh what a relief!
Although a disguised thief
They follow it like a tradition
Engrossed in rituals and charity show without cessation
People might doubt me
But doubt their god, its blasphemy
For they trust their imagination
Not me
Accustomed to their blindfold
Believing what is told
To which nobody puts a hold
