Shakeela Kingzley Poems

Holding to this moment
Forever intertwined
The perfect fit
My hand in yours
...

When I tell you that I love you I mean it like NO other

It does not come from my mind nor my heart,
...

You held me for a moment
For just a moment it would seem
It seems like forever ago
Although I could never remember
...

I had my head on track
Swore I'd never look back
Left my sea of emotions
Buried in the deepest ocean
...

"Don't act this way or think like that"
If it is bad then it's not the norm
But it doesn't feel wrong in my heart
So I struggle each day to conform
...

We got this home as is
It came with the waves, the forests,
waterfalls, sand dunes, the ice.
We claimed it,
...

Those dark eyes on me
Like a candle-wax scraper

Cut me with your love
...

Today I layed in my bed
Looked up at the ceiling
With our song in my head
I imagined you were here
...

Show me that you can see it

See beyond the mist
...

I'm scared you'd make me happy
that you'd make me smile at the thought.
That when I'm around you, you'd make me laugh
so hard that I'd forget all that's wrong with the world.
...

I was on a journey
The destination wasn't clear
I needed to experiment
And challenge every fear
...

You worry about your hair
When a strand is out of place
Have everything you need
To hide the marks that's on your face
...

I'm thinking back to a time
A time I had forgotten
When I used to call you mine
Before our love turned rotten
...

They say that life is short

With different lengths for everyone
...

It was a time of darkness,
that shaded me from light
Could not recollect a single day
but absorbed feelings of night
...

To whom it may concern

This is a letter of complaint
See I was told I could be whatever I want
...

The Best Poem Of Shakeela Kingzley

Right Person, Wrong Time

Holding to this moment
Forever intertwined
The perfect fit
My hand in yours
We have this moment
But we can't have more
Our time is short
So savor the now
No room for words
Just silent vows...

Our eyes are locked
He holds my stare
So secure and safe
An answered prayer
Soft touch, smooth skin
Poetic on its own
Like a movie scene
Perfect in its sweetness
Content if I could add
This is all I'd need
If today was all we had,

Every dimension
Stained in my mind
I see your heart
You feel my smile
Your thoughts are mine
Both souls refined

Maybe in another life
We will find our way
This one I'll spend
In reminisce of today
I'll look back with gratitude
As you've changed me in ways
And everyday
I'll say your name when I
pray...
In a different timeline
Our story will transcend
But in this life
Our story has to end.
