SEEMA SHARMA Poems

Today all I attend are the vacuous vows and fictions,
It leaves behind just a fractured heart and a wrecked life,
Today faith is gone and conviction is lost,
What am I fighting for and who will really pay the cost.
...

No choice, no word to say
Permanence is always being kept at bay
Every other day things come to a stop
Battle starts again on who is at fault
...

Softly, in the dusk, he sings to me;
making me walk down to the years passed by, till I see
A known face sitting there in the dark, in the boom of the flowing strings
And touching the feet of the figure who sits nearby.
...

Through your lens the cypress family swallowed me
like a nymph of the woods.
The camera flashed & dismissed from the mind.
I, on the other hand, must practice my absent-

Will you not celebrate with me
what i have contoured into
a kind of life? i had no model.
born in babylon

My agony and hardships fall from the heavens
So hard I try to disregard it, but it still gets by.
Surrounded with reminiscence of what could have been,
The detestation screams under my skin.

If you don't know the kind of person I am
and I don't know the kind of person you are
a design that others made may prevail in the world
and following the wrong god home we may miss our star.
...

Imagine if I was given one moment,
just a single slice of my past.
I could hold it close forever,
and that moment would always last.
...

We were made to accept it would be horrific
Every small fancy, every niggling urge,
Every hate inflated to a kind of legendary wind.

Brimming with her own chalky words,
She is a scholar of bizzare behaviors,
It’s no revelation to find her crawling,
She now breaks the ice between us,

I am the light in the dark,
the shadiness bellows its horrible call, but I push back,
I sit here, a glimmer of hope in overall shadiness,
I will spread this light over this black world,

Lost as a candle lit at noon,
Lost as a snowflake in the vast sea
You love me, and I find you still
A spirit beautiful and bright,

And if the stars did fall
Over the tears that yet remain
Below the souls that I must wear;
Bleeding dreams for which I mourn

The desolate auburn walls, covered by
Outcomes of display fiercely barbaric
Awf'ly causing someone to die
Solid and dark, yet watered down…..

I believe there's destiny for me and you
I believe that good things come to those who wait
I believe love never arrives too late
...

Who is watching me,

waiting for me to betray myself
...

So many times i have blamed myself for all that was always meant to be...
...

I cannot seem to make myself whole though i try in vain..

And i feel that, somehow i have lost my way again

Fractured Heart!

Today all I attend are the vacuous vows and fictions,
It leaves behind just a fractured heart and a wrecked life,
Today faith is gone and conviction is lost,
What am I fighting for and who will really pay the cost.

When I tell you I ‘m sorry but I give in again,
Why will you hold me, why will you cave in again.
When you finally comprehend you made a lapse,
It's too late, it’s a sealed consequence.
