Satya Prakash Poems

There
On the sea-shore
On the rocks
The waves keep crashing
...

Past midnight
When clouds gather in the sky
And shut off the stars,
I can hear the rustling of the wind
...

Snapped: Common chords.
Memories waning with time.
When I am an old decrepit man,
Bleary eyed,

She hugged me, she kissed me
She would not let me go
And when she parted company
Her memory would not go!
...

Fishes leap in the rivers:
On the horizon
The clouds gather.
...

In the mist
The stalk of the bhuj **
Stands wet and cold,
Lonely and pale,
...

Mnemosyne, give me sleep!
Two pairs of eyes
Haunt me through the night!

The mountains do not shiver
Nor the trees, nor the valleys

The Best Poem Of Satya Prakash

Aspects Of The Ocean *

There
On the sea-shore
On the rocks
The waves keep crashing
The ocean with a new tide
Comes again.

There is no end
No solution
No victory or defeat
Only the tension
The constant strain
And in this
We see the majesty
The satisfaction
The fulfilment of Ego
The wide panorama of beauty.

And here
This is you
And this my passion
This urgency unhindered
Infinite
Is this what love is:
The constant struggle of a search?

I am interested in English and Hindi literature. I have translated T.S.Eliot's 'THE WASTE LAND' (Banjar Bhumi) and 'THE LOVE SONG OF J. ALFRED PRUFROCK' (Prufrock ka Pranay Geet) into Hindi. I have also translated Kedar Nath Singh's famous hindi poem, 'BAGH' into English (The Tiger) . I am waiting for my books to get published. Some of my Hindi poems have been published by KITAB GHAR in 'SIWAN KI KAVITA'. This anthology has been edited by the famous critic Dr.Manager Pandey. I also bring out a Hindi Poetry magazine 'ADYATAN ' with the help of my friends. -SATYA PRAKASH
