Why am I human?
Was it God who made me this way?
But how, I don’t believe in God
Why am I not a butterfly?
...

Can air exonerate us form the immoralities we commit?
Then in what way can a god pardon our mistakes
Must our pitiful lives mature around its supposed death?
Or is it because of death that we mature

Butterfly

Why am I human?
Was it God who made me this way?
But how, I don’t believe in God
Why am I not a butterfly?
One with wings so bold
I’d fly away
I’d be free
Why am I not a butterfly?
Maybe I should jump
Jump from way up high
Then id finally see if I’m a butterfly
I’d spread my wings
I’d fly away
The truth reviled that I’m not human
I’m a butterfly
But sadly only at heart
Because other butterflies like me jumped to show the world
But their wings were not yet mature
Instead of flying they fell
But at least they were free
At least they were at heart a butterfly like me
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
They broke
No they were ripped
Or rather they were never there
I was a fake
A lie
I was never a real butterfly
I’m too scared to try
Too scared to fly
Freedom comes at a cost
But it’s a cost I can’t pay
I have a future
Not one bright
But still a future that is mine
I’ll leave these wings behind
I’ll move on
But keep the other butterflies in mind
Those like me who died
They were the true butterflies
