Sarah Deen Biography

I love words; and I love to write and read poetry. My father was a songwriter; so the love for words and music is in my blood. I do not claim to be a great poet, or even a very good one. I am submitting some poems today that I wrote a few years ago. Generally, I only write when I am depressed. I am currently in a very good place; so it might be awhile before I write any new stuff. I appreciate any comments and criticism. Thank you for taking time to read.)

Cycle Of Despair

Don't let your eyes close
Don't let the light dim
Don't let your wounds heal
Don't try and stop the end

Take another hit
Have another shot
Take another swing
Man, it's getting hot

Feed the demon once again
Stability in continuity
No reason to hold back now
You know you cannot beat me

Just one more turn
In this cycle of despair
I am with you at every turn
Where you are; there I am

My wind tears the clothes from your back
My breath sucks out your soul
Around that corner there is no return
Your heart will soon be black as coal

Try to hold onto the good
While I scribble it out
Another unholy union
That is what it's all about

Feed the demon once again
Hit her again for me
No reason to hold back now
You have now become mo

Just one more turn
In this cycle of despair
Look in the mirror, friend
Where you are; there I am
