Biography of Samuel Reed
Born in the London borough of Greenwich, in the working-class quarter of Abbey Wood, to an English milkman and a half-German, half-Italian housewife.
Studied Italian at The University of Birmingham following a bilingual (English/German) up-bringing, but maintained a life-long passion for the English language.
During studies, lived for a year in the small Renaissance hill town of Urbino in the Marche region of Italy, visiting Rome and Sicily while there.
Left Birmingham in 2006 by which time parents had moved to the county of Kent in south east England, father having become a secondary school teacher in Canterbury. Lived in the rural village of Lyminge for a year, during which time worked on an organic farm.
In 2007 trained to become a secondary school teacher himself at the London Metropolitan University in Holloway, and resided during this period in Greenwich. Now working at St. Anselm's RC School in Canterbury. ..
