Sameer Agnihotri Poems

I was once a flowering tree arose form a baby seedling;
All I needed mother gave me,
When I was young, I was strong;
I have seen fury of Mother Nature; her anger deepened my roots, as heated and beaten carbon is diamond;

He walks through a road, a lonely or busy. He carries a stick, swings balloons, different colors, each, foran owner different.
He sings a songs, children attract as bee to honey;
Melody heard form distance; small hands search piggy bank, coins few;
Got them at last, dashes every little soul, for gift they grip.

I am a seven-letter word,
I born long before, my origin is unknown;
I am there in everybody, so do not agitate me;
I am very dangerous, I have destroyed reigns,

When the chirping of birds ceases;
When silence prevails everywhere;
When birds move to nest;

I told baby I will come, with a toy not with gun;
I told beloved I will come, with a wear not shawl;
I told mother I will come, with bliss not mourning;
Baby a train, doll, car; partner saree red, blue, green; mom food, care, love desired.
...

I was walking on road with focus on my goal,
Halt, a hand caught a firm grip – course like a grain.
Hungry, needy said the stranger, want money but no food.
Stick like a magnet, followed the street, a repulsive figure.

I was unaware of world, you told me;
I felt pacifying when you lulled;
With hold of your finger, I learned to walk in debris,
Difficulties, dullness when dwelt; you demolished them;

Wind, body, water hot; no relief. Every rising degree boils atmosphere.
O summer, friend or foe I don’t know burning or boiling I am vexed.
Hay dry, liquid fade. No corner left unattended,
Malevolent rays left no place un-accessed.
...

I went to canteen, a place to burn hunger.
Orange, red, green, yellow so are the chairs so an isolated member sit together, speechless, emotionless- burden, complain neglected.
Broken rib, broken leg; value neglected.
In front there are counters three- cold, hot; dry, wet; thirst and hunger.

What is orange light from the feathers that makes me so gloomy, once again I see the clandestine memories hidden from mortals visible to single soul.
I see this big smile hiding the inestimable pain and agony. This orange light is no good, reminds of some eccentric upcoming. The atmosphere in complete silence, as though the happiness has been uplifted from the life.
Its ominous influences now embrace every soul, no happy face is seen. I do not see a ray of hope, for this beam has overshadowed every good elements on this world.
A cold silence is peeving my nerves, no winds, branches died.

The reign of winter is over, fighting a lost battle;
Time is over, thou shalt rule next year;
You accept or deny, adieu;
Now your mate “autumn” reign begins;

When I close the gates of my eyes,
When the stars unleash their beauty,
When the moon shines spreading its sparkling beauty form heaven,
When god covers the world in its shade,

Sun’s gone; its warmth is felt no longer;
Wait, see, here comes the radiance of dark, herald of beauty;
Thou came so silently, none mortal notices.
So quiet is this day, night is falling, dark and dark;

They never sit in front just to avoid teacher’s attention,
They never gave answers when teacher ask them,
They always make noise, audible miles away,
They never paid attention in class,

You are short, you are long, you are straight, and you are curved;
Sometimes leveled, sometimes debris is your form;

A Dried Tree

I was once a flowering tree arose form a baby seedling;
All I needed mother gave me,
When I was young, I was strong;
I have seen fury of Mother Nature; her anger deepened my roots, as heated and beaten carbon is diamond;
I have seen wars, I have seen pestilence;
I was ready to serve, the world always wanted more.
Scars still visible, pain forgotten ages before.
Happy I am to serve this world, gave my organs to warm mass, and gave shelter from Helios riding his chariot across the sky.
All the time I gave never demanded anything.
Now thin I am, weak are my limbs, body dried to dead leaf, all hues vanished.
However, happy I am more than ever, do not lament, cut my every organ, my every piece;
Burn your light, burn your hunger, for I am proud to serve even my frame is weak, my greenery faded, my ribs bare, liquid dried.
I laugh at thee for thou can’t be so self-sacrificing, so creator made me heartbeat of planet.
