Rose Kirby Poems

Kiss the emptiness,
Hold nothingness for comfort,
Need no one but you.
...

If it was the other way round, would anyone care?
If you were the sad ones, would I be weird for being happy?
If I was the contented and serene one, would you make fun of me?
Because I don’t feel things like you do?
...

As I watch you rise from your bed,
I wonder if mind reading is overrated.
Because right now I don’t want to know what you thought about last night,
I just want to know you’re not sad.
...

There’s no way that I could jump straight out of what we had
I wasn’t just some teenage mutant ninja fad
You know I cared about the so called real love we had
It would still be there if you weren’t a scum-bag
...

Save me.
How can I,
Save myself?
There’s nowhere,
...

Twist, twist, twist…..

Ignore the feeling in your head,
Make your way towards the door,
...

I walk to you, eyes deep dark holes
Leading me to forbidden lands Oh.
Thirsting for you to hold me tight
Just me and you all alone all night, and
...

Moving on to pastures new
Found my self tangled in strangers twine
And counting all the folk I knew
A grand total of none
...

Rose Kirby Biography

I'm just an ordinary person, I guess. I'm nothing special. I suppose I'm a bit of a mis-shape, to quote Pulp. I'm not very old, or very wise, but I try to write from the heart (except from 'Dancing' which is mostly imagination - I'm 13!) . I try to stick up for myself in written words to make up for me being so flipping quiet otherwise. Poetry and songwriting are what takes up most of my life. I'm originally from the North-west of England, but my family moved to the South-west of scotland when I was 10, so I'm now living in the middle of nowhere, for my sins.)

The Best Poem Of Rose Kirby

What It Is To Care.

Kiss the emptiness,
Hold nothingness for comfort,
Need no one but you.

Kiss the cold ether,
That surrounds you in a mist,
Keep the innocence.

Kiss the lifeless cold,
And thrive in the emptiness,
And on the silence.

So kiss all your tears,
But know that I’m protecting,
What keeps me breathing.

You.

Kiss me, please.
