Ronnie Terry Poems

GOD sends us many blessings
As we travel over life’s miles,
Like sunsets and gentle breezes
And little Baby’s smiles!
...

My dad, he drives a big ol’ truck
He hauls a lot of freight,
He drives fast, everywhere he goes
Cause, he doesn’t wanna be late.
...

Hear the roar of the engines
Smell the sweet odor of fuel,
Boy don’t them driver’s suits
Really, really look cool?
...

When your driving through the night
Fighting sleep and fatigue all the way,
Put your lights to blinking, as you swing in
At Biscuits beside the hill, Truck stop & Café.
...

Dad parked his truck today
Although I don’t understand the reason,
He says that hauling freight
Is not as profitable this season.
...

In a secret upstairs meeting
That time and reality did dodge,
There is an emergency planning meeting
At the local deep south Masonic Lodge.
...

Papa said that some Miracles
Have got him thru life this far,
From the Miracles that saved his life
Both at work and in the car.
...

A leaf fell today...
Deep in the Forest center
Nature’s way to remind all
It’s time to plan for winter!

Ronnie Terry Biography

Ron Terry - aka: Yogi Bear, or Smokey Bear I guess if I had to introduce myself to someone new, I would have to say that I am kinda Odd. I like who I am. I am proud of my GOD given Talents, and I am trying to share them with as many people as possible. I was born in Andalusia, AL (before Eisenhower) and grew up in North West Florida. I was a Motion picture Photographer doing contract work for the US Air Force (during the intro of SR71 Blackbird, the C5-A transport) , Singer/Promoter for a Gospel Quartet, a Diesel Mechanic for Off Shore Oil Boats from Venice, LA to Corpus Christi, TX, a Deputy Sheriff / Private Investigator, a Cowboy on a 10,000 + acre ranch, Restored and Built Old Cars and Hot Rods (had one of our cars in Don Garlits’ Museum) , did Radio Announcer / Programmer / Voice Over work (was the voice of Smokey Bear in late 60's) . An Owner / Operator of an over the Road 18 wheeler supposedly covering 48 states (although I mostly worked Southeast and West) ! Wow, This makes me feel really Old. But my Best accomplishment and my proudest achievement was marrying the Love of My LIFE, Ms Joy. She has been the support / encouragement behind everything that I do now or have done. She told me years ago, “If your not gonna save those Poems, then quit writing! ” So I have been saving ever since. We have 6 children (3 boys & 3 girls) 11 grandchildren. We enjoy Movies, Reading, Music, Good Southern style Cooking, Swimming in our Cement Pond and Travel. We both like traveling, and I like showing off Ms Joy. I Love the USA, I Love and Admire our Troops throughout the World and the job that they do to defend us and keep us free. There is never enough that I can say or do for them. I Love my Church and I Love my GOD. I am who I am, because of the Talents and Personality that came from HIM. I hope everyone can enjoy my Recitations and maybe find at least One that they really like.)

The Best Poem Of Ronnie Terry

Always In A Hurry

GOD sends us many blessings
As we travel over life’s miles,
Like sunsets and gentle breezes
And little Baby’s smiles!

We don’t take time to enjoy
The gentle dew in the early morns,
Always too busy rushing about
To enjoy the fruit among life’s thorns.

So quick to question everything
For actions, there must be reasons,
So ready to complain about the weather
We forget to enjoy the Seasons!
