Yo, my name is Risha Ahmed (you probably know that) , and I’m in the the 8th grade (I bet everybody knows that too) . I write poems (oh heck! Who am I kidding? There can’t possibly be anybody who doesn’t know that) . You all have read my prize winning poems and know about all the stuff I won, blah, blah, blah! ! ! So there’s no point going over that again. All I will manage to do is put an insomniac to sleep. So what on earth am I supposed to write in this big blank space staring at me like an idiot? You might expect me to be a perfect angelic girl churning out poems at the touch of a button. Keep dreaming because that is sooo not gonna happen. wow, you're amazing! for a ten year old, you have a great gift for words, even some of my classmates can't write the way you do...you really should consider a career in writing, you certainly have the skill and talent to do it...keep writing, i'm sure many readers appreciate and love your work...

    best wishes,

Hey Risha, I must say you are a fine young poet. Any one your age could write short verses about their life, but I dare say none with maturity and style like yours. I enjoy how your verses don't exactly conform to rigid sets, but yet remain very readable and uniform with simple language and good rhyming. Keep writing! Talents like yours should be shared with the world =)

    Love, Tiffanie.

You know Dinesh, I must respectfully disagree there, at her tender age I think it much more important to keep writing on whatever inspires her. A true poet of intelligence will develop a wider range as their experience of life expands and this is quite natural. This is the season of childlike wonder and humour, the angst of the teenager yet to be.
With much appreciation to you Risha.
    Shaun.
