With a smile on her face she walked down the road
With lust in their minds, all the men stared
She carried a burden- a heavy load
They greeted her so kindly- as if they cared.

I'll keep you safe he said
He pretended he cared
Got me fooled and rooting for him
Bad could not be a word to describe him
...

My mind is a wonderer, always out of place
It thinks of places I can never name
I was named but it doesn't describe me
The 'me' that I let people see
...

Your texts make me smile, I'm beaming
This can't be real I must be dreaming
Did you really say you're missing me?
Maybe we're truly meant to be.

Glass Dress

With a smile on her face she walked down the road
With lust in their minds, all the men stared
She carried a burden- a heavy load
They greeted her so kindly- as if they cared.

I'm fine she said, snow white teeth showed
They believed her, how stupid can they be
She was breaking inside and it never showed
They claimed to know her, but did they really?

Dying inside, she never spoke
She wore a glass dress so they would see
Witness her final moment, and tell how she broke
How she broke a tear and formed a sea.

Bubbly she was, little did they know
She loved the high, it made her sane
Talk? No she won't go that low
That's not her, she'll never be the same.
