Fathers Against Sons - Poem by nader baheri

The day when father died
I was only a child
Without any fears
And didn’t care about life

But they came to me step by step
I wished I had died instead

As I was drowning in the darkness
When I needed his mercy and bless
I was left in the cruelness
Hated the ones came and dictated for my little worthless life in their creepy congress

Soon in the darkness I saw Devil, his face
As I was fighting for the life as the rat race
Not to love when any one doesn’t love
Not to think about God and heaven and hell above

To stab back any one who tries to stab
To replenish between me and me a far gap
A wolf in ship’s clothing tries to shake hand
Cut the hand either a woman or a man

Now the devil is dead, free
But he squats inside me
So I never make a son for a fun
Let the God himself make his own son

As Heather said we must move on, as hard as it may be. Bottlling life up inside doesnot work. clearing all of this can give you a chance to move on. Otherwise it will hold you back. You have so much to give to others who will grow from your experience. Thank You (Report) Reply

Hi Nader. I read this poem. I like your picture. Well. A long poem needs a long discussion. There are a lot to say. At first I want to know that did you make an allusion to my poem, (Weeping Sheep) by this line?
A wolf in ship’s clothing tries to shake hand

To tell the truth, you know that I am a pessimist and I believe the same things as you do. (Of course we may have some different points of view) . Life is bitter and whoever is responsible to this bitterness is to be blamed and not the human beings who suffer. In one of my sentences in a story I remember that I said Men are so weird! We all suffer and if you ask anyone who suffers more, they would mention themselves! . I know this fact. If you lost your father, I would say that my poem (Dears Die) can be a condolence for you. You said:
Not to think about God and heaven and hell above

This is not true about my character... I always think about such issues. If you read (Lord of the Flies) by Golding, I would say that I am a person like Simon. I am searching for truth. But reach no point. Sometimes I get mad at this point. hehe. Anyway, the last two lines are much shiny for me. You know, it's been years that I think about this problem. I never wanted to be. Maybe my parents are guilty for it. I don't want to be guilty too. I lived a very good life in comparison to the other boys in the same social level as I am. My father provided almost everything I wanted. Maybe that's why I love him and I'm still alive... But I psychologically had a problem with my existence! Damn... On the other hand I really love children. I don't know should I bring a person to this bitter life for my own pleasure and love or not? This is a hard question that passage of time would answer it. Thanks for your poem. Good Luck. (Report) Reply
