Zebra And Clarinet Poem by Paul Hartal

Zebra And Clarinet

Even if it gives rise
to the impression
at ease
the moon is not made
of cheese.

A clarinet
is always
a clarinet
even if it sounds
like a trumpet.

However,
a zebra
with a long neck
is not a giraffe
on trek.

And
a salamander
not even for a while
is a baby
crocodile.

But
when it looks
like a monkey
certainly it is not
a donkey.

You certainly had my interest. What does a Zebra have to compare to a clarinet? Read mine - Where the Polar Winds Blow - Adeline
