Your Words Poem by Ethan Allen

Your Words

The words you say
Rock me to the bone
I never thought id feel this way
Know you’d be gone
You still care about him
That’s fine, just walk away
And even when you do
Ill love you anyway
But you don’t feel the same
So take that breath of air
Tell me what I cant hear
Tell me that no matter what I do
Im not good enough for you
But when hes thru with you
Don’t come crying back to me
I took that pain once before
And I wont make that number 3
So screw me over go ahead
I can already tell my love is dead
The words I say fall upon deaf ears
And make me wonder if you could ever hear
So take that breath of air
Tell me you don’t care
Because if you walk away
It’ll be the end of “our” days
There will be no more us
Just a couple presents
And a box full of dust
Ill burn the lust you held inside
Ill burn the pain you caused
Ill burn the memories
Because they’re useless without you here
Without your sweet touch
I become nothing much
You used to care
I could tell by your stare
But your eyes tell me of your lies
Of your infidelity
There is a story behind that smile
That tells me the truth
The words you are not willing to utter
The ones you push aside
Don’t think I don’t notice
When you tell me your filthy lies
Even the smallest one
Comes out when you cry
So take that boy for granted
The one that loves you so
For if you walk away
I guess you’ll never know

Wow! ....to be in love with someone and not have the commitment of fidelity must really be a hurtful memory. Hope you are healing from Cupid's arrow, misplaced.
