Your Presence Poem by Margaret Alice

Your Presence

Rating: 2.7

THIS reality in which YOU live is more beautiful than
dreams, I am content, it would seem you can work
wonders with your presence, when you’re there the
sun shines, when you speak, you open my heart, when
you pronounce, my mind wakes up, with your sonorous
voice in my ears I sense the meaning of life

Thank you for teaching me trust by being trustworthy,
holding my hand when my fears took me to the brink of
an abyss, thank you for turning back as I fell following
in your footsteps, thank you for being just who you are;
‘tho others did not comprehend your great spirit and
sweet intent – I appreciate you, right here, right now,

Just as you are, without fear that you are a figment
of my imagination – because you are not, you are so
much bigger than that – no fantasy can reach heights
of your stature, you keep growing, and I love reality
- at last!

[I posted this poem under my name Margaret Alice Second
as my site as Margaret Alice seems overcrowded with poems
I don’t want to let go, but when I searched under MA2 I could
not find it – so herewith I post it again, please forgive me
if it is an overkill…]

well, i found a comment you left (on another poet's poem years ago) . and now i am running out of time tonight and my wife just passed the doorway and said time to go to bed darling which translates to GO TO BED, you big dummy! . i read you bio for a couple of minutes or more, then scrolled through it for about half a minute more till i FINALLY reached the end. good luck with the allergy and the weight-watcher in your family; or is he just trying to help you eat more 'nutritious' food? it sounds, in this poem, as though you have found someone/something special. congratulations, if you still have him/her/it. good night from california. thanks for sharing. :) bri
