Your Mouth Did Open Softly Under Mine Poem by Gert Strydom

Your Mouth Did Open Softly Under Mine

Your mouth did open softly under mine
where you stood close to me,
the crickets sang a song
where we were watching the stars
and I did wonder if other people
were also just like this caught in a moment
and around us there was the darkness of the night.
