Give me a chance to explain
But can I explain who I am
A question that lurks in our mind
A thought we do not understand
And to think people say
I know you better than myself
But how can you know someone
When you barely know yourself
It's scary
To think that all we know is our name
As if who you are and your title
Is one in the same
Your name doesn't describe who you are
It's what you make of it
And life isn't easy giving
Unless you take of it
Thoughts don't come automatically
It's what you think of it
So who are isn't a given
It's the air you breathe
The way you walk
Your beginning to livin'
