Your Great God Poem by Francis Duggan

Your Great God

You say your God is special and you say your God is great
If so a better World for your God you can help to create
Yet those who are different to you those of a different faith
You find it a great struggle to even tolerate
If your God is a great God him you do not impress
For your poor attitude to those different to you he will only love you less
Any one particular religion a great God does not embrace
Only every single member of the greater Human Race
'Tis not by good example you can profess to lead
You find it hard to tolerate those of a different creed
Your great God doesn't need you though to him you do pray
He wants you for to look at life in quite a different way
The great God you believe in does not see you as great
If those of different beliefs you find hard to tolerate.
