Your Freedom Talks To You Poem by odd walla

Your Freedom Talks To You

Your freedom talks to you
Your freedom talks to you
but consider, mine brought you to me
if one must blame anything at all
blame the power to enthrall
that love wields with equal impunity
on the old, and the new.

if you opened the door to step out
as the sunlight falls on your brow
you glance at me then smile
just reach for me one last time,
no need for that goodbye
no place for that tear
just leave me alone quickly
while traces of you still linger
and I will bravely smile as I sadly let you go

The wind will take my voice
the air my caress
a color in the sky will remind you
of what never was
but I will slowly fade
as you reach your milestone
then when another door opens
somewhere, step in quickly
and close it with all your might.
