Your Body Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

Your Body

Rating: 5.0

i know they're going to blow it up
or change species by mixing DNA
until man is a Nietzsche nightmare
but until it's over i am going to love
even if it is a leap amidst the genocide

Your body is like a refuge
she is like defiance to Brave New World
the reservation for the savage
she is an ideal, a visceral wet ideal
a Van Gogh better world

when i listen to Chopin she sings in the rain
and i think of a warm home
please be beautiful like a subspace sea
like a cloud of pure feeling
before they come for us
