Young Wife's Longing Poem by Paul Sebastian

Young Wife's Longing

Waking up with dawn, usual early
Realize our twin-bed's half empty
My sunshine absent, next to me
Rude dawning: you're across seas
My heart sinks in emptiness
Heightening my loneliness
Hugging my pillow, my tears pour
Everything in me, longs for my beau!

At breakfast table, alone I sit
Missing the way you kiss-greet
Your fingers lifting my chin
Your lips, smelling Listerine
Your perfume embraces me
Lingers to keep me company
After you leave home for office
Your assured love calms my miss
But now, everything in me cries for you!

Longing, I spray your perfume
Invite your presence in our bedroom
Sniff your T-shirt, imagine you beside
While I struggle through each passing night
My nights crawl so slowly
My nights are so lonely
I recall nights eating your special dinner
How sometimes we feed each other
How we would get lost in each other
Linger through the nights, in bed together
To chat, read, render love to one another
All kinds of everything reminds me of you
Then, everything in me screams for you!

In god's speed come back to me!
Hurry home love, come quickly!
Everything in me longs for you!
Everything in me cries for you!

When the dear one is away, especially in the initial years of marriage, it is so very natural. A wife or husband feels so lonely without the other. That is the charm of man- woman relationship! But as years pass by, the same woman may enjoy better a few days without him! That is again the untold reality of married life! Enjoyed your poem!
