You'Ve Inspired Too Many Letters... Poem by Lauren Beasley

You'Ve Inspired Too Many Letters...

You've inspired too many letters
too many poems
too many songs
To be someone I can't even consider a friend
If only you knew how many words I have written because of you
How many thoughts I've had because of you
How many tears I've cried because of you...
Which will never be revealed to you
You've inspired too many lines
To be worthy of them
For someone who will never hear my words,
You've inspired too many of them

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
October 3,2014. At the time of this poem's writing, I was frustrated with the fact that my 'muse' was my sole inspiration for much of my poetry, letters, and songs, when he wasn't even someone I could talk to or consider a friend. If he wasn't in my life, he didn't deserve to have all these words written about him. But alas, here I am.

Interesting poem, I would have liked to read this poem a bit differently... if you could have been less literal in your wording, and perhaps described your inner turmoil then we as the reader could come to our own conclusion that this person was indeed a source of inspiration but now no longer part of your life... work on that.
