You Talk Bad About Me Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

You Talk Bad About Me

Living my life doesn't have to be to your liking
Sometimes I question why you don't like me
then i'm like, it doesn't even matter to me
Try hard as you might with comments that's biting
don't assume you're affecting me so easily
I'll rise above the hate and that's what you'll see

you talk bad about me
but i'm still going be, me
think I care. no, I don't
Not stressing and I won't

say what you want your opinion isn't needed
but that's okay because either way
your voice goes unheard and often unheeded
in such matters I've been so absent-minded
you try so hard to ruin me, you'll get tired eventually
guess you want to bury me, you'll never have the victory
As long as you keep hating, you are employed
The position you have filled is rendered void

you're so obsessed got a fixation
your lips they suffer with hydration
and are you dying from starvation?
that'll lead you to total damnation
All of this just for some attention?
defaming my name for popularity
it is such a shame
how you'd sell your soul so easily
