'You'Re Never Alone' Poem by Desirae Roa

'You'Re Never Alone'

You take the noose, tie it up
You’re shaking, as you stand on that chair
You feel hopelessly ready.

You grab the razor, the cold metal
You drag it across your arm, as your skin separates
The red begins to leave your body
You feel weak and hazy but you’re so sure you’re ready.

You grab the bottle, there are exactly 60
You consume them and lay down.
You’re impatiently waiting, maybe this time
You won’t wake up; because you’re so convinced you’re ready.

You repeat the above until you succeed,
But you don’t realize what you’re leaving behind
People who love you, people who need you, and people who will miss you.

You serve a purpose, you are God’s child and you are never alone.

Dedicated to Yesenia R. Of Salem, Or.
