You Keep My Glass Full Poem by Ted Sheridan

You Keep My Glass Full

Rating: 4.4

If it were not that I am dehydrated, I could cry; to think
you care what happens to me, is a profound I opener…
I am touched by your generosity and your compassion; comforted
by both. I am honored to call you friend and a true friend you have been;
much better of a friend than even I have been to myself…

I love the 'I opener' pun. Clever, in context. What a beautifully composed tribute Ted to a very lucky someone. That last line in particular is brilliant. I wish (saying it AGAIN) I had written this. t x
