You Everywhere Poem by Unintelligible Susurration

You Everywhere

Everything reminds me of you
The boy's eyes glimmer
With affection
Just like yours

The girl's hair must be
As soft as silk
As I imagine yours to be

The trickling river
Makes me cold
Just like your voice,
Piercing my sides
With icicles

The rain kisses my cheek
Softly and in intervals
Like I wish you could

The rays of
A thousand suns
Wrap me up in warmth
But I pretend it's you

Everywhere I look
I see your face
Every word
Spells out your name
And every snowflake
Resembles your heart

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I personally like this poem. It is among the top of the many poems I've written that I enjoy.

The narrator is missing a person and everything seems to remind them of that individual.
