You Do Exist Poem by Gert Strydom

You Do Exist

Dear God of the holy trinity
when in this morning light I see this day,
it can be like any other
or it can be the greatest one of all
depending on what I make of it,
as a being with free choice
and I do not need to explore the vast world,
nor do I have to dwell in scientific research
or bother with laws of mathematics
to know that You do exist, that by unknown,
incomprehensible power you have created the universe,
space and this planet called earth,
the sun, the sky and even man and much more than this:
that you love me and every other human being.
