You'D Never Know It All Poem by Evan Histed

You'D Never Know It All

Just a game or two
Felt tips and blue chalk
The balls flew
Crashing with balk

I was flipped in circles
Hurled through space
Blinded from the miracles
Horror mirrored on my face

Your neglect hurts more than the possibility
Of that dangerous negativity
So I will just ignore
That closed door

I was flipped in circles
Hurled through space
Blinded from the miracles
Horror mirrored on my face

I'm not prince charming
Just a toad
Your presence is harming
I run down that road

I was flipped in circles
Hurled through space
Blinded from the miracles
Horror mirrored on my face

A wall blocks my way
My feet are stuck
I have to stay
Down on my luck

I was flipped in circles
Hurled through space
Blinded from the miracles
Horror mirrored on my face

The world swayed
The wheel caught
My mind was frayed
For you it sought

I was flipped in circles
Hurled through space
Blinded from the miracles
Horror mirrored on my face

Green it grew
And I crushed it with my weight
And then I flew
I saw a sad fate

I was flipped in circles
Hurled through space
Blinded from the miracles
Horror mirrored on my face

Each person’s thoughts are their own
So you will never know
What I don’t show
Locked up all alone

Those last minutes in my car
